We really enjoy welcoming people from all over the world to share the Old Mill Soar, it is a very special place full of character and history. We enjoy meeting new people and doing our best to ensure that they have a wonderful relaxing memorable time at Soar.
Ceredigion is a beautiful pastoral county, with beautiful rolling countryside and woodland, a few larger towns and many small villages and farms. There is a strong sense of community here still, and many little privately owned unique village shops, old fashioned ironmongers and interesting little shops. In our nearest town Newcastle Emlyn, there is a buzzing vibrancy with many small tea shops, crafts and antiques with loads of spaces to rummage around and find a bargain, as well as the beautiful river and castle ruins to explore.
The university town of Lampeter is also nearby, with lots of interesting shops to explore. We are just 20 minutes drive from stunning wild coastline where you may
see porpoise and seals, peregrines and choughs, explore tiny coves, walk the coastal paths, or visit the little fishing town of Newquay, for boat trips, shops and tea rooms, dog friendly golden beaches.
We can help you find the best route to Soar and if need be, collect you from the railway station. We do not have a door to door bus service here so it is best if you have a car, motorbike bicycle to get about.
At the old mill soar we also deliver sessions in mindfulness and creativity suitable for all levels of experience, which you can book as an additional part of your holiday if you wish.
