Nestled in the gently undulating Preseli Hills of North Pembrokeshire is the tiny hamlet of Rosebush. In which lies the quaint family-run farm of ‘Pant Mawr’. With breathtaking views over the mountains across the farmland of West Wales, towards the far tip of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, the Cheese making at Pant Mawr Farm was established in 1983. Starting with simple cheese making equipment David and Cynthia set about teaching themselves how to make cheese. Using the milk from their own as well as other local farms, several varieties of cheese were soon created. Pant Mawr Cheeses soon achieved growing recognition, and over the years they have won numerous awards both in local and national competitions.
Growth however has brought the need for more hands-on help. Son Jason has recently been brought into the business and now plays a key part in helping David and Cynthia in the manufacturing and handling operations. All cheeses are hand made from pasteurised milk and are suitable for vegetarians.
Call at the farm and sample our cheeses. Afterwards enjoy the wonderful Pembrokeshire scenery on the public walks around Rosebush.
