Located in central Osage County, Kansas, we are within easy driving distance of Topeka, Emporia, Wichita and Kansas City. Owned and operated by Carol Retzer and husband Rick Antisdel, we offer years of horsemanship experience and ranch raised horses to ensure a safe and memorable experience for our guests. Since 1991 Carol has engaged in traveling the Santa Fe Trail on horseback, traveling from 80 to 260 miles each ride. For the past six years Carol and Rick have organized this ride, leading from 20 to 80 people across the Kansas landscape. These days Carol takes every opportunity to ride one of the ranch’s many seasoned trail horses to work. We find both these activities help develop young horses into well rounded, solid, dependable mounts. Each June, we sponsor an invitational trail ride, outfitting guests and traveling various Kansas terrains.

We offer guided trailrides, wagon rides, and campfire evenings under the beautiful Kansas sky! Carol is a certified Level 1 Centered Riding instructor offering lessons for beginner and intermediate level students. Our newest offering is the Salt Creek Ranch Horse Hotel! Available for travelers are campsites with full itilities, pens for horses, round pen, outdoor arena and beautiful trails, in addition to indoor arena and stalls.
