Rental rates start at $15 for two hours but vary according to bicycle type and the duration of the rental period. Bike types include single-speed cruisers, 3-speed Detroit Bikes, multi-geared road bikes and hybrids, tricycle, tandem and youth bikes and accessories. Locks, helmets and lights can all be added to any rental for no additional charge. Group rates require a deposit and advance reservation. Groups of six to 20 can be accommodated and delivery and pick-up of the rentals can be accommodated for an additional fee.

Wheelhouse offers more than a dozen unique Detroit-oriented tours, including neighborhood-oriented ones like Eastern Market, Corktown, The Villages, the Near East Side, Southwest Detroit, Hamtramck and Poletown, as well as thematic tours such as Music Heritage, Auto Heritage, Architecture, Urban Agriculture, Haunted Detroit and Murals of Southwest Detroit. Public tours are capped at 15 participants and include a trained ride leader/tour guide as well as a “sweeper” who trails the group to help keep them safe and who can assist with any mechanical issues such as a flat tire. Tours can be booked via the website, where approximately three tours a week are offered peak season (May through September). Private group tours can also be booked for groups of one to 20. These require an advance deposit.
