A LITTLE HISTORY: In 1974, Margy and Larry Waldrip and their 3 sons purchased and moved to the property as a family home. The restoration began after 5 years with a lot of sweat and love that was put into the home, the Kuebler Waldrip Haus building. In 1987, Margy Waldrip was teaching Spanish at New Braunfels High School, and she decided to open a bed and breakfast after a wonderful experience at a b&b in Mexico City, Mexico. A group of teachers were looking for Spanish speaking schools, so it was a research trip. In 1990, the Danville Schoolhouse was added to add more rooms to the property, and in 1996, the Deer Haven Cottage was added. We have enjoyed many years of wonderful guests, and the families that have come - the children are now grown and returned with their families.

Our buildings consist of 3 beautifully restored historic buildings: Building 1: the Deer Haven Cottage, a new cottage with 3 rooms, Jacuzzi bath, kitchen and patio, Building 2: the Kuebler Waldrip Haus building is an original 1847 German pioneer home with a total of 5 separate rooms, and Building 3: the Danville Schoolhouse is an original 1863 one-room schoolhouse and it has 5 separate rooms. Each room has a private bath, entrance, refrigerator, coffee pot with supplies, and good views from each room. BREAKFAST is served family style where guests sit at the table and the food is brought to the table and begins at 9 am. Please let us know if you have any dietary needs.
