The 4th and final day of the Cheltenham festival is the world famous Cheltenham Gold Cup day. This year it falls on Friday 14th March and is arguably the best day’s racing of the year, with an atmosphere to match.
The Cheltenham Gold Cup plus six other magical races, including two more Grade 1 events and three fiercely competitive handicaps, make this a day to cherish.
Gates open at 10.30am, with the first race each day at 1.30pm and the last race each day at 5.15pm.
So what does the weather have in store for Friday 14th at Cheltenham? Well in looks like it's going to be a fine and bright day, with a little cloud around lunch time, quickly clearing to leave dry and bright afternoon and evening. It will be a relatively warm day, with a top temperature of around 17c. It will be a breezy day with westerly winds of up to 13mph. Later in the afternoon and into the evening it will start to feel a lot colder, particularly in the wind.
