5th November 2014

This year, Bonfire night falls right in the middle of the week, so many Bonfire / Fireworks displays took place last weekend, or are scheduled for the coming weekend.

But if you are heading out our to a display tonight, or are planning to set off a few rockets and Roman candles in your back garden tonight then it looks like it will ideal conditions.

After a dry and bright afternoon for most of the country, it looks like it will remain dry for most of the country, perhaps with the exception of the southern coastal town of East Anglia, where a few lingering showers may be present. However, the clear skies and light winds are likely to make temperatures drop considerably, into the minus figures later, for Scotland, Northern England and the Midlands.

On Thursday morning, fog, made worse by lingering smoke, will be a feature, particularly for Eastern and central parts of the country.

So, as long as you wrap up warm, it should be an ideal evening for a bonfire and fireworks display.
