Fine and bright weather over the weekend.
Fine and bright weather over the weekend.

Fine and bright weather expected for England over the weekend and into next week.weekend.

After a cloudy start for much of the UK on Saturday morning, things should brighten up for England and Wales, with temperatures rising into the mid teens and clear, sunny skies forecast for the rest of the weekend and into next week. For Scotland and Northern Ireland there will be more cloud and some scattered showers, but it will feel warmer here and there is a chance of some sunny periods.

On Saturday, temperatures of 14 - 15c will be typical for England and Wales, 11 - 12c for Scotland. On Sunday, temperatures will continue to rise in England and Wales, with a top temperature of 18c (64F) possible in the London area, and typical temperatures of 14 - 17c. Continued cloud will keep temperatures lower in Scotland and Northern Ireland on Sunday, with typical temperatures of 9 - 12c.

Areas with clear skies will see temperatures drop significantly at night, and frost developing in the early hours of the morning.

An area of high pressure will keep the warmer, brighter weather with us into next week, with much of the country seeing a good amount of sunshine and temperatures in the low teens.
