Just a few days after Brighton launches their replacement for it's West Pier, destroyed by a storm and a fire in 2003, just a few miles down the road, Eastbournes iconic Pier is today (30th July 2014) on fire.

This will be a massive blow to the town, which such a disaster happening right in the middle of the summer season.
Early indications suggest that nobody has been hurt in the fire, and it is not yet known how the fire started.
