Heavy rain has been moving across the UK this morning bringing surface flooding, and even a mini-tornado to parts of Kent.
Worst affected have been Strood, where overflowing drains on Darnley Road have caused severe surface flooding, Tunbridge Wells, where surface flooding on Pantiles, Nevill Street is causing traffic, and Rochester, where a mini-tornado has uprooted several trees.

Heavy showers are expected to continue into the afternoon and will almost certainly bring more risk of surface flooding in Kent and elsewhere in the UK. Drivers are advised to be cautious and to avoid driving through flood water.
