This afternoon the Environment agency issued a flood warning for Guildford as the River Wey water water levels continued to rise.
The flood warning is for the River Wey at Guildford, Riverside Park Nature Reserve and Jacobs Well, Surrey. The river and flooding forecast is: River levels are continuing to rise on the River Wey following the recent rainfall. Flooding of some low lying properties closest to the river in the Guildford area is expected later this afternoon. River levels are currently not expected to be as high as those seen during the December 2013 flooding.
Latest: Busses will replace trains Guildford to Ascot due to flooding.
As predicted, the floods in Guildford has not been as sever as those seen in December, but as the picture below shows, flooding was quite threat to the town today...
