Thunder and hail showers have been moving their way across the South East in the last few hours, not the sort of white Christmas people were hoping for.
As towns in Surrey, Sussex and Kent pray for a break in the wet weather so that they can begin to recover from severe flooding that has affected them in the last 48 hours, more stormy showers including heavy hail showers cross the South East.
Godalming, Guildford, Leatherhead, Dorking and Tonbridge are some of the areas worst affected by flooding. These heavy showers are causing further problems and increasing fears of even more floods.
The Environment Agency currently has 2 severe flood warnings (meaning there is imminent danger to life) and 98 flood warnings (where immediate actions should be taken, in force for the south east.
