The Met Office have issued a Yellow severe weather warning of snow for The Midlands, Northern England And Scotland, in force from mid day on Tuesday the 11th of February, until 10am on the 12th of February.

Following the eastwards clearance of the frontal system on Tuesday, a cold and unstable westerly airstream is expected to follow across northern and central parts of the UK which will persist through Tuesday night into early Wednesday. This will bring snow showers with accumulations in places.
On low ground, accumulations of 1 - 3cm can be expected on Tuesday evening, whilst on higher ground, accumulations of up to 10cm are possible especially in the west of Scotland, Northern Ireland and northern England.
The public should be aware of the risk of some travel disruption and difficult driving conditions.
