UK Snow - Boxing Day and 27th December - Pictures

For most of us, not a single flake of snow fell on Christmas day, but a day later, on Boxing day, many parts of the country are white, as snow arrives in the Midlands and East of the country, brining disruption to travel.

There is a Yellow weather warning of snow in force for overnight into the 27th December for Scotland, the Midlands, West Wales, East Anglia, London and eastern parts of the South East. This is accompanied by another Yellow warning of wind, for London, the South East and East Anglia, where gusts of 50 -60mph are expected, perhaps reaching 65mph on exposed coasts of Kent.

A third Yellow warning of ice is in force for Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Some places in England have seen a few centimetres of snow settling on Boxing day, and many snow scene photos have appeared on Twitter...
