Two further Yellow weather warnings have been issued, after 100mph + winds battered Scotland today. The Met office warn of a second depression which will produce further gales, followed by a cold front.
The first Yellow weather warning is for Wind and covers the whole of Scotland, Northern Ireland, North Wales, Northern England and the Midlands. The public should be aware that gusts of up to 70mph could bring disruption to travel and power supplies.

Heavy showers are expected across the area, these falling as snow at low levels across much of Scotland and Northern Ireland, confined more to hills over Northern England. Occasional accumulations of 2-4 cm are likely, with more than 8 cm on high ground. Ice will be an additional hazard, especially early on Saturday over northern Scotland as rain clears.
