A deep area of low pressure is set to move across the UK tonight (1st June 2015) and into tomorrow morning, bringing gale force winds and heavy rain to most of the UK. All parts of the UK with the exception of the highlands of Scotland are affected by a Yellow warning of wind, covering tonight and early tomorrow morning.
Now, the Met office have extended this weather warning, adding a Yellow warning of rain for Wales.
A spell of persistent rain on Monday evening could bring 40mm of rain in a 6 hour period. Rain will persist into Tuesday morning, gradually easing in intensity. The public should be aware of the risk of some localised flooding and disruption to travel.
