After a dry and settled week for most of us, high pressure remains the dominant feature for the weekend, bringing more dry weather with variable amounts of sunshine and because of the breeze, there shouldn't be too many problems with mist of fog.
Saturday
Across Scotland, Saturday morning will start off quite windy with gusts of up to 50 or 60mph in some parts and a weaker weather front skirting northern and western parts of Scotland may bring thicker cloud and some outbreaks of rain. Temperatures will be between 10c and 14c but moderate to strong winds could make it feel colder.
For England and Wales it will start off quite cloudy on Saturday morning, but as the day goes on the cloud will thin, allowing some sunny spells. For the East Midlands, South East and East Anglia, cloud should begin to break up quite early on, leaving some good sunny spells, but for the West and Wales, cloud may remain a little longer. North East England could see some strong winds with gusts of up to 50mph into Saturday afternoon. Temperatures in England and Wales on Saturday will be around 14 - 16c, with some areas in the south possibly seeing temperatures as high as 20c.
For Northern Ireland it will be a dry and largely bright day. Northern parts may see some moderate to strong winds, and temperatures higher than Friday at around 14c.
Sunday
The best of the sunshine on Sunday will be in the South East, with temperature into the high teens. Further west it will be more cloudy with temperatures around 12 - 14c. Again we could see some moderate north westerly winds in the north and across Scotland, and some persistent rain in the North West of Scotland.
