Met Office Issues Yellow Warning For Rain

The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for rain for the West Midlands, East Midlands, Yorkshire & Humber, North West England, and Wales for Tuesday, January 10th, 2023.

Persistent heavy rain is expected to affect parts of northwest England, causing potential flooding of homes and businesses, disruptions to transportation, and potential power outages. Rainfall totals of 60-80 mm are expected to accumulate over parts of Cumbria.

Regions and local authorities affected include Derby, Derbyshire, Blackburn with Darwen, Blackpool, Cheshire East, Cheshire West and Chester, Cumbria, Greater Manchester, Halton, Lancashire, Merseyside, Warrington, Staffordshire, Stoke-on-Trent, and North Yorkshire.
